Driver Review
This car is the ultimate toy. It has a “toy” price compared to real supercars, and is guaranteed to make the driver smile. Not that the driver could see him or herself smiling - there is no interior mirror because the view out the rear window is just one fat supercharger! This car makes you smile because the 1.8 litre supercharged engine turns 218bhp of power into a surge of acceleration with very little car-mass in the way. But because the car is so sure-footed (-wheeled?) there is a huge amount of fun to be had from this mini-rocket. The car sucks itself to the road with up to 100lbs of downforce, which means you can turn most corners without slowing down! This is slightly unnerving for the passenger, but such a great feeling for the driver. The Exige is really easy to drive safely - but you have to keep a close eye on the speedometer: because the car is very quiet compared to the big supercars, and because you feel so in control as the driver, it’s very easy not to notice how fast you’re actually going. This car really belongs on a track - it’s not designed for luxury, or long-distance touring, but going partly sideways round a proper circuit would definitely be the best way to get the most out of this car (and not what this web site is about!)

Passenger Review
This is a very mad little car. Extremely light and extremely fast, the Lotus Exige S “Club Racer” is the track day version of the Exige and is limited to 25 models. With it’s almost slick tyres and racing body-kit you really feel like you’re in a racing car. The spoiler gives it a very racey look and adds more insanity to this car. Interior has been kept to a minimum with racing seats, air-con and a few other things. On the road the acceleration really throws you back and the speeds at which you can take corners are simply insane! It even produces downforce just like a Formula 1 car and so it sticks to the road like it’s on rails. This is a car for people who like Caterhams but wear wigs!
